We worked with an international student who came to use at the end of her Master’s in Marketing. The student sought our help so she could be sure that her dissertation was free from errors such as wrong sentence structure, word order, and grammar and spelling mistakes. As a result of our editing, the student received one grade higher than she had been predicted.
We made a total of 4,772 revisions to her 12,500 word dissertation, including 2,270 insertions, 2,323 deletions, 12 text moves, 137 formats and 30 comments. Below are three excerpts from the dissertation which show examples of the edits we made.
As can be seen from the excerpts above, we made many changes to the structure of sentences to ensure they made sense. We also made comments in the margin, like in excerpt 3, to ask the student to clarify part of a sentence that did not make sense.
